From the frozen niche where men placed you,

I will lower you into the humble, sunny earth.

The men didn't know that I must sleep here too,

and that we are to dream on the same pillow.

I'll put you to bed in the sunny earth, with

the sweetness of a mother for her sleeping son,

and the earth will make a soft cradle

to receive your aching boy's body.
